We basically live our daily lives by our appearances. There may be some exceptions for some people, but I am going to talk about the ones who do live by it. I bring out the topic about what we let affect our lives. We let negative and positive things control our mind and our life in certain ways, but we should live humbly before God.
First of all, we should not allow for any sort of negativity to enter our mind about our appearances because it can cause depression. People should not care about what others say about their appearances because they are not God to judge you. Leave the judging to him and he judges you based on how you lived your life whether you were a sinner or not. He does not judge you based on your good works, riches, looks or anything else.
On the other hand, If we consider everything positive that people say about us as praise, then we are being prideful. Lucifer who was a creation of God, became prideful and wanted to be worshiped as a god. God then kicked him out of heaven with about one third of the angels.
To close this topic with, humans created by God should be humble because he created us all in his image.
If we left negativity enter within our lives, then we open up the gates for depression and similar emotions. And if we take positive things in the wrong way, then we can become prideful and start to behave in a similar way. If you have fallen into one of these traps by the devil, then you should repent and start a new day by being humble .

Once Upon a Sunday Dream
This took place yesterday at my home after church service.
I was really tired and I knocked out on my bed for a few hours.
Then had a dream where I was inside a limo or cab.
The old mayor, Mayor Daley, was sitting right next to me.
In my dream, I was preaching the word of God to him,
I do not recall the exact conversation that we were having.
What I do remember, is telling him this verse John 3:3.
In reply Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the
kingdom of God unless he is born again.”
Then I snapped out of my dream and realized that I was sleeping for 3 hours.
So I don't know what this could be a sign of anything.
